تمكين المرأة Women’s Empowerment

عملية تحقق المرأة من خلالها اختيارها وقوتها وخياراتها والتحكم والوسيلة في حياتها وهو هدف بحد ذاته ولكي يتحقق التمكين يجب أن يكون لدى المرأة ليس فقط قدرات متساوية والحصول بالتساوي على الموارد والفرص مثل الرجل وإنما أن تكون لديها أيضًا الوسيلة لاستخدام هذه الحقوق والفرص لكي تحدد اتختيارها وقدراتها كعضو كامل ومتسو في المجتمع.

A process by which a woman achieves her choice, power, choices, control, and means in her life, which is a goal in itself. For empowerment to occur, women must not only have equal capabilities and equal access to resources and opportunities as men but also have the means to use these rights and opportunities to determine their own choice and capabilities as full and equal members of society.
