الهوية Identity

تُعتبر الهوية مزيجاً لعدة عوامل، منها الدين، النوع واللُّغة، كما يُمكنها أيضًا أن تكون أكثر خُصوصية، كالانتماء لعائلة مُعيّنة مثلاً. ورغم أنه باستطاعة كل إنسان تشكيل هويته المنفردة، إلا أن بإمكان الهوية أن تكون جماعيّة بناءً على الانتماء العرقي أو القومي مثلاً، وليست كل العوامل المكونة للهوية متوارثة، فهناك عوامل مكتسبة تختلف باختلاف البيئة التي ينشأ فيها الإنسان

Identity is a combination of many factors, including religion, gender and language, and it can also be more specific, such as belonging to a particular family. Although every human being can make his individual identity, but the identity can be collective based on ethnic or national affiliation for example, and not all the factors that make the identity hereditary, there are acquired factors that differ according to the environment in where a person grows up
