الحرب الأهلية Civil War

نزاع مسلح واسع النطاق يقع ضمن حدود بلدٍ ما؛ للسيطرة على الدولة أو على جزء منها، أو للحُصول على حصّةٍ أكبر من المكاسب السياسيّة أو الاقتصاديّة، أو لإعلان الانفصال عن الدولة المركزيّة. ومع اختلاف المحلّلين في تعريف الحرب الأهليّة باعتبارها النزاع أو الصّراع) واسع النطاق(بيد أنَّ العديد من المصادر تذهب إلى أنَّ أيَّ نزاعٍ أو صراعٍ لا يوصف بأنّه )واسع النطاق( أو )حربٌ أهليةٌ( ما لم يتسبّب في وفاة ما لا يقل عن ألف شخص سنوياً على نحوٍ مُباشر.

A large-scale armed conflict within the borders of a country; To gain control of the state or part of it, or to obtain a greater share of political or economic gains, or to declare secession from the central state. Although analysts differ in the definition of civil war as a conflict or strife (large-scale), however, many sources say that any conflict or strife is not described as (widespread) or (civil war) unless it causes the death of at least a thousand people.
