العمل الإنساني Humanitarian action

تتمثل أهداف العمل الإنساني في إنقاذ الأرواح، والتخفيف من آلام الناس، والحفاظ على كرامة الإنسان أثناء الأزمات والكوارث التي افتعلها الإنسان، وفي أعقابها، وفي الوقاية من هذه الحالات وتعزيز الاستعداد لحصولها. ينطوي العمل الإنساني على بعدَين مترابطَين بشكل لا ينفصل: حماية الناس وتقديم المساعدة. وهو متجذِّر في المبادئ الإنسانية: الإنسانية، وعدم التحيز، والحياد، والاستقلالية.

The objectives of humanitarian work are to save lives, alleviate people’s pain, preserve human dignity during and in the aftermath of human-made crises and disasters, and in preventing such situations, and strengthen preparedness for their occurrence. Humanitarian action has two inextricably linked dimensions: protecting people and providing assistance. It is rooted in humanitarian principles: humanity, impartiality, impartiality, and independence.
