الإضراب Strike

نمطُ العمل المباشر القائم على مبدأ اللاتعاون. والإضراب العام يقوم على الإيعاز إلى جميع المواطنين – موظفين ومستخدَمين وعمالاً – بأن يوقفوا نشاطاتِهم بغية شلِّ الحياة الإدارية والاقتصادية لبلد أو لمنطقة أو لمدينة. لمدة قصيرة؛ نهار واحد، بضع ساعات، بل عدة دقائق فقط. والمقصود إذ ذاك عملٌ رمزي يهدف إلى إظهار إصرار الشعب إظهارًا عيانيًّا في نزاع ما بينه وبين سلطة سياسية أو اقتصادية. ويُفترَض سلفًا، لإنجاح عمل بهذا الاتساع، أن يكون السكانُ على وعي مسبَّق بأهمية رهان الصراع الجاري.
